DALI 2026 SUMMER SCHOOL

Against the backdrop of accelerating global climate change and frequent geological hazards, it is especially important to cultivate young geophysicists with interdisciplinary vision and international collaboration skills. Established by Université Grenoble Alpes (France), the "Passive Imaging & Monitoring in Wave Physics: From Seismology to Ultrasound" Summer School has now been held successfully seven times and has become a globally influential flagship program in the field.

As the Asia-Pacific extension of this series, this summer school will be held from 5-11 July in Dali. It aims to build an international platform for exchange in seismology and wave propagation in complex media, bringing together students, early-career researchers, and senior scientists to focus on cutting-edge research in passive imaging and weak-signal monitoring. The program will promote deep interdisciplinary integration across seismology, machine learning, oceanography, hydrology, and related fields, while showcasing innovative applications of novel sensors and environmental seismology. Of particular note, this edition will prioritize participants from the Asia-Pacific region to reinforce regional academic exchange and cooperation.
